NSDC Affiliated Skill Centre
Sanctioned by NSDC, Government Of India this programme aims at promoting livelihood opportunities among the unemployed young men and women through skill programme. Gitanjali Foundation has been running this center since 2018. This programme has already made 2635 young women economically self sufficient.
Skill Development Programmes
Gitanjali Foundation's skill development programmes are designed to empower individuals in Birbhum and Murshidabad districts by providing comprehensive training in various vocational skills. These programmes focus on enhancing employability, promoting self-reliance, and fostering entrepreneurship among the local communities. Key initiatives include tailoring and garment making for women, computer literacy and digital skills for youth, and agricultural training for farmers. By partnering with industry experts and leveraging modern technology, the Foundation ensures that participants receive relevant, high-quality education and hands-on experience. These efforts contribute to sustainable economic growth and social upliftment in the region.
Supporting Income Generation
Gitanjali Foundation supports income generation initiatives to improve livelihoods in Birbhum and Murshidabad. It offers microfinance loans to women entrepreneurs and training in tailoring, nursing, and handicrafts. The Foundation partners with local businesses and government bodies to provide market linkages and offers ongoing mentorship and business development support. These efforts enhance household incomes and contribute to the region's economic development, fostering self-reliance and community resilience.
